Infrastructure Engineer

Engineering · San Francisco, CA · In person · Full-time

Argo is building AI-powered job search and automated applications. We help people find relevant opportunities and handle the repetitive work of applying.

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to own the cloud, deployment, and browser automation infrastructure that runs Argo.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure behind Argo’s services, databases, and background workers.
  • Run and scale the browser sessions that submit applications, keeping them isolated, observable, and cost-efficient.
  • Own continuous integration and deployment so engineers can ship safely many times a day.
  • Manage infrastructure as code, secrets, and access controls across every environment.
  • Build the monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices that keep Argo reliable.
  • Track cloud and model spending and reduce it without hurting reliability.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience designing and operating production infrastructure on a major cloud provider.
  • Strong skills with containers, networking, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Solid software skills in Go, TypeScript, or a similar language.
  • Experience debugging production incidents and preventing them from recurring.
  • Clear communication about technical decisions, tradeoffs, and progress.

Useful experience

  • Running headless browsers or other sandboxed workloads at scale.
  • Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform.
  • Securing systems that store sensitive personal data.

Why Argo

The work spans a polished consumer product and technically demanding automation. You’ll have substantial ownership over what we build, how it works, and how it improves for the people using it.
