Argo is building AI-powered job search and automated applications. We help people find relevant opportunities and handle the repetitive work of applying.
We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to build the app people use to run their job search, from reviewing matched roles and tailored resumes to reading employer replies in one inbox.
What you’ll do
- Build the screens where people review job matches, approve tailored resumes, and track every application Argo submits for them.
- Turn product and design ideas into fast, accessible React interfaces that hold up with real, messy data.
- Design clear states for work that happens in the background, so people always know what Argo is doing and what needs their attention.
- Maintain and extend the shared components and design tokens that keep new screens consistent.
- Improve load times, rendering, and responsiveness across desktop and mobile browsers.
- Work with backend and AI engineers on the APIs and data the interface depends on.
What we’re looking for
- Experience shipping production web apps with React and TypeScript.
- A sharp eye for visual detail, interaction quality, and accessibility.
- A solid understanding of browser fundamentals, including rendering, networking, and client state.
- The ability to take a loosely defined feature from design to release.
- Clear communication about design and technical tradeoffs.
Useful experience
- Building or maintaining a design system or component library.
- Interfaces for AI features, background jobs, or long-running tasks.
- Web performance tooling and responsive design for mobile browsers.
