Argo is building AI-powered job search and automated applications. We help people find relevant opportunities and handle the repetitive work of applying.
We’re looking for an AI Engineer to build the agents and evaluations that let Argo tailor resumes and complete job applications on someone’s behalf.
What you’ll do
- Build agents that read application forms, decide what each field needs, and fill them out accurately from a person’s profile and resume.
- Design the prompts, tools, and context that let language models drive browser automation reliably across many employer sites.
- Build evaluations for match quality, resume tailoring, and application accuracy, and use them to guide every change.
- Improve how Argo ranks and explains job matches so people trust what it recommends.
- Monitor model behavior in production and fix failures, regressions, and cost problems as they appear.
- Work with product and frontend engineers to decide where AI belongs in the experience.
What we’re looking for
- Experience shipping products built on large language models to real users.
- A rigorous approach to evaluation, with examples of measuring and improving a model-driven system.
- Production-quality TypeScript, Go, or Python.
- Sound judgment about the cost, latency, and failure modes of model calls.
- Clear communication about technical decisions, tradeoffs, and progress.
Useful experience
- Browser automation tools such as Playwright or the Chrome DevTools Protocol.
- Retrieval, ranking, or recommendation systems.
- Agents that use tools to complete multistep tasks.
